OUR STORY
It began with a simple frustration: safety systems that grow so large they stop working.

After more than 20 years in occupational health and safety in the offshore sector, our founder kept seeing the same pattern. With every new standard or client requirement, one more procedure, one more tool, one more process was added. The system swelled, became bureaucracy, and grew entirely dependent on the health and safety department. It lost credibility with leadership and with the teams. And, in the end, real safety did not happen — only cost and weight.
We believe in the opposite path.
Before implementing anything, we apply critical judgment: we study what the standard requires, analyze what already exists in the operation, and ask whether it is truly applicable to that reality. When the company already has something that covers the situation, we adjust it. When it can be integrated into what exists, we integrate it — reducing cost and time.
This way, health and safety stops being a department apart and starts living inside every process, with leadership engaged. The result we have always seen: fewer accidents and more people committed to safety.
It was with this conviction that GRICCO began operating in January 2024. The plan was to grow gradually, with documentation and programs in Brazil. But in the third month came the first major test: to prepare the M/V CSS Temis, a flotel of an international operator — which had never operated in Brazil — to work in Brazilian waters. The vessel and the crew were also newcomers to the country.
The adequacy work took place throughout 2024, under separate contracts and demanding logistics: we mobilized professionals in Italy, Cyprus, Las Palmas, and Israel before the vessel sailed here. In record time after arriving in Brazil, the unit was cleared by the regulatory authorities.
It was the first real proof of our methodology.
Today, GRICCO exists to make regulatory compliance, processes, and health and safety programs simpler, more adaptable, and shared by everyone. Not on paper — for real, in the day-to-day of the operation.
